Arrive in Johannesburg and connect to George (approx. 2-hour flight), where the Garden Route Game Lodge driver welcomes you and fellow guests. Settle into your luxury suite with champagne and fresh juice, lunch, then an afternoon safari with a qualified field guide among giraffe, rhino, lion, elephant, cheetah and antelope. Sundowners in the bush during a sunset game drive, then a gourmet African dinner with traditional dancers and drumming.
From Safari to Sea
An early sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active, then a scenic guided drive to the coast and your luxury beachfront villa in Plettenberg Bay. Lunch on the deck over the ocean, followed by your first two hours of pickleball (grouped by level, each group with its own coach). Later, a coastal hike at Robberg Nature Reserve — a World Heritage Site — with dolphin and whale sightings in season. Sundowners and a private-chef dinner at the villa.
Local Experience & Wine Country
Sunrise beach walk, chef-prepared breakfast, then two hours of pickleball training and match play. Explore the market at Old Nick’s Village and the Mungo Mill weaving experience, then travel to The Crags for a wine tasting and relaxed vineyard lunch. Return to relax or swim, more social pickleball in the late afternoon, then sundowners and a gourmet dinner at the villa.
Ocean Energy & Storms River Adventure
Optional sunrise beach walk and gourmet breakfast, then the famous Storms River lilo & kayak adventure through a dramatic ancient gorge in Tsitsikamma National Park — fully guided, no experience required. Lunch at the Cattle Baron Seafood Grill at Storms River Mouth, then back for two hours of pickleball. Sundowners and a private-chef dinner.
Action Pickleball & Sunset Sailing
Optional sunrise beach walk and breakfast on the deck, then a lively three-hour morning of pickleball — coaching, pairs selection for the tournament, and match play. Lunch at the villa, then to Knysna to board a yacht for an unforgettable sunset cruise through the Knysna Heads and into the Indian Ocean — the ultimate “feel like a billionaire” sailing experience. Dinner at one of Plettenberg Bay’s top restaurants.
Tournament Day & Free Time
After breakfast, the Plettenberg Bay Pickleball Tournament — a fun, spirited competition between guests, with winners facing the coaches (approx. 3 hours). Lunch at the villa, then free time to shop, explore the town market, or relax on the beach. Sundowners on the deck, then dress for the Gala Dinner — a gourmet evening with fun prizes and superb food.
Explore & African Celebration
A final sunrise beach walk and chef breakfast, then swimming with the playful Cape fur seals — a scenic boat trip to the seal colony (dry option available). Gourmet lunch at the villa, then your choice of Birds of Eden (the world’s largest free-flight bird sanctuary, 1,500+ birds), a beach afternoon, or social pickleball. Sundowners on the deck, then a vibrant African-themed farewell celebration with authentic cuisine and festivity.
Farewell
Final goodbyes over a gourmet breakfast and a parting gift, then transfer to George airport — taking in the Garden Route’s beauty one last time — for your flights back to Johannesburg and home.
